This egg is the prize for a free writing contest. This is a pretty special egg, the adult form took a long time to design. So I want to know, what are you going to name it? It's name would be Zynterra, because I don't think anyone or anything else has that name and I think it sounds kind of neat. It would have it's own personality, follow on it's own path, and make it's own decisions, be it's own chimaera. It came from a den deep in the African forrest, it's parents were killed by hunters and Zynterra was rescued by a band of foxes and they brought Zynterra to Kage, and that's just where the story begins. ;D

They say that she came from the stars, that she fell from the sky, thousands of years ago, birthed by the sun and the moon. They call her Luculenta, or Splendid. Likened to the phoenix, Luculenta was considered something of a goddess, dying, but always being reborn. Her intelligence is boundless, and she is wiser than she seems. Despite all that, she is extremely fun and lighthearted. It stuns the masses that even after dying and being reborn, she never changes much. Slight things differ, favourite foods, colours...but she is still Luculenta. Still Splendid.

Dear Diary my name is Envy. I am one of the Chimaera's. I got my name because of my colors. Mostly i am white but i have a lot of green on my body as well. Why Envy you ask? Well simple, people turn into the green little monster. Why? I dont know but they do. Well... I take that back i know why they turn into the green monster of envy. Its cause Im beautiful and I know it. So does everyone else. I doubt ill have any trouble at all finding a mate when it is my time and till then I shall write down my adventures in this journal. This journal will tell of my travels with those that are my friends and those that are my enemies. Well who am I kidding? Like ill have that many true friends. Perhaps if they actually got to know me instead of the mask I put on for the public they'd be my real friends. But they usually just use me and dont like to see past apperances. *sigh* Well thats it for now journal I got to go. I cant wait to see what life has in store for me.

Riau was born on a crisp cool night under the full moon. All most everything went perfectly, except for the one major mishap of him being born with broken tail. Riau's parents were very scared that his broken tail would prevent him from being able to fly. Once he became old enough, Riau began to try to fly on his own away from his parents sight. At first it was as they predicted, his tail didn't move in the same fluid motion as the rest of his body and he couldn't leave the ground for more than a few minutes. However Riau was determined to overcome his differences and kept at it. One day when he was falling from the sky, he flipped upside down trying to regain his balance. All of a sudden he was propelled through the air faster than he had ever seen any other flit fly. He was overcome by happiness and ran home and showed his parents. He leaped into the air a few times and tried to fly like normal for them only to see the expected looks of concern and a little disappointment form them both. Then he jumped up in the air and flipped upside down and showed them both just how fast he could go. His parents were overjoyed with pride and lept in the air to fly with him. Riau did laps around them both laughing with the most joy he had ever experienced. Riau is now the fastest Flit ever recorded. No one ever cared that he flies upside down. In fact, some of the youths have been recently seen trying to fly that way themselves.

One night, when the moon wasn't shining and yet it wasn't time for a new moon, a spark whiter than lightning lit the sky. Everyone stared, for they had never seen anything that could light the night sky but lightning, and that flash was far to bright to be so crude a mentioning. Yet, from beneath the boughs of a great oak tree came smoke, where the white flash and made impact with the soft dirt, and from that impact point came a squeaking. When investigated, it was found that the noise came from a green, black, and white egg with tufts of hair. So, not knowing what it would be the people kept it warm and waited patiently for it to hatch, calling it Star Runner whenever they referred to it. It has been 3 millenia and the mysterious egg has still not hatched, some say it will only hatch if it likes the person who holds it... Will it hatch for you?
