DeepWoods Reccie ~ [OPEN]

On the edge of the DeepWoods, two figures come together in the gathering dusk. One tall, shaggy and scarred takes a seat in the grass, huffing and sending up a cloud of fireflies. The smaller, sleeker of the two tries to catch them, leaping into the air with an acrobatic twist and coming back down to earth with a pout.

"Mou. I'm losing my touch." She sniffs, and cleans a paw as if she'd never tried at all. She flicks her ear as one of the glowing bugs comes back to tease her.
"Too much time as a pampered house pet." Her companion grumbles, watching her. His fur is scruffy around his considerable scars, his ruined right ear flicking towards the woods. "No one will come." He mutters, matter of factly.
"Well, you won't know until you try." She sniffs, and twists to swat at the bug flitting just out of reach.

Her companion shrugs in agreement, and throws back his considerable head for a long, haunting howl. [Call for allies]. The sound travels far further than it should, reaching into the depths of the city in one long, drawn out note. Its an invitation, a call for assistance.

"There. Now to wait..." He sits on his haunches in the grass, and watches his companion chase the fireflies.

[[Ooh! this sounds really interesting Kage, I love the art! I wasn't quite sure what you meant by "Assign them a name, and post it in [like this] any time they use it." but I'll give it a try. Please let me know if I'm doing anything incorrectly. ^^]]

Tooey and Kimitte were walking down the street toward the pet shop when they heard the howl.
[Kimitte] "Wow! I wish I could sing like that!" Kimitte tries to howl back, but the sound she produces is much more like choking...
[Tooey] "I don't think they're singing Kimi-" She listens, her whole body shivering as she focuses her power on the source of the sound. "I think they're calling for help! Come on, let's hurry." Tooey starts running in the direction of the howl.
[Kimitte] "But, Tooey, it's already dark, and we don't even know where it's coming from, or who it is! Nobody will know where we went!"
But Tooey isn't listening. Reluctantly, Kimitte chases after her.

After running for a while they reach the edge of the woods.
[Tooey] "That's strange, I'm sure it came from around here..."
[Kimitte] "EEEK!"
[Tooey] "Kimi what's wrong!?"
[Kimitte] "Over there" she says, quivering.
[Tooey] "Where- oh!" she hadn't seen the two at first, but now she wondered how she could've missed them. One had scars on it's face and looked as though it might be tired, the other looked full of energy. "Umm, My name is Tooey, this is Kimitte, we heard a howl and came to see if everything was okay. Were you the ones who howled? Did you need something?"

Sara and with marshall threw the woods. They had heard the sound and where coming at a fast flight. They where twining trees and just flying towards the sound. Soon they saw two others that soon aquired to more flits. Sara nodded at Marshall and moved down to the ground. They gave a small wolfish type sound out of their lips before speeking. "Hello. I am Sara and this is Marshall. Why have you called?"

Brown orbs glance to her mate before turning back to the other two.

Hearing a sound, not too far away, Rufus and Aoi run from the city lights to the DeepWoods. They rush passed the dark and gloomy trees, while they keep a lookout for any other howls. Neither one knows why the call was made, but they know they should help out a fellow Grim. As the reach the edge of the Deepwoods, they find four already there.

Rufus, taking the lead of Aoi, looks at the four before them. "We heard a call for help, what's going on?" Aoi's light blue ears tilt downward. Rufus turns his head and rubs against her.

[[I hate their names, I might change them. I can't think of anything better right now XD.]]

"I told you so." The she cat looks smug. "I'm Cricket, and this is Greebo. We're going into the woods to investigate some things.." She trails off, and sniffs.
"Some things." Her companion snorts "That's one way to put it. Are they really up for a trip to the DeepWoods?" He looks the motely group over, unconvinced.
"You put out the call, you can't be picky." Cricket huffs. "Anyway. We need extra eyes. But things never go quite how you want them to in the Woods." She swishes her striped tail in the grass, and eyes the bugs.

[Kimitte] "You really startled me before!" she says with an annoyed look on her face. "By the way, what kinds of 'things', exactly, do you want to investigate?" She's trying to not appear too suspicious, but failing epically. "And what's in it for us?"
[Tooey] "Kimi! Don't be so rude! Whatever they need help investigating, we're more than willing to help. Right?" She looks a Kimitte expectantly.
[Kimitte] "... I guess so." She seems less than pleased with this decision.

Sara tilted her head as she listened, her body leaning agianst her mate for warmth. She listened to the others before turning to Marshall. "What do you think Ashke?" The other fencat thought for a moment and nodded. "You wanted out of the house. This is your punishment." But he said it with a grin.

Sara laughed before turning to the others with a smile on her face. "We are geared and ready to go." This would be fun. Adventure always was.

Rufus smiles, causing his teeth to be revealed. "I'll go, this sounds interesting." Aoi nods her head as well, but being in the woods still gives her shivers.
